Rehearsals are a strange thing. There’s no ‘right’ way to do them, however, there are a few key principles to keep in mind to make the most out of your time with your band.
If you struggle to lead a good rehearsal, don’t know where to start, or even if you are a seasoned veteran, I’d like to introduce you to my first ebook called ‘A Guidebook for Fantastic Worship Rehearsals.’ This is a very practical guide for taking your worship rehearsals from 1st gear to overdrive!
Writing out of my own personal experience and failures, the book is filled with practical steps to prepare and communicate with your team.
About the Book
After years of struggling through leading mediocre worship rehearsals, I’ve put together a guide based on years of experience, of what I believe are key elements in taking your team to the next level. You’ll find tips and suggestions on preparing yourself, preparing your team, and how to communicate clearly.
Like the title of the book explains, this is a guidebook. You can start using it as a whole, or just takes bits here and there and apply them to your team. It’s short, to the point, and extremely practical.
Where Can You Get It
The best part about this book is that it’s completely FREE! It’s my gift to you for being a loyal reader, leader, and friend. My goal is not to make money, but to be a kingdom builder.
The only way to get a copy is to sign up for my Monthly Newsletter that’s all about Worship. Don’t worry though, I won’t ever spam you nor will I ever give out your information. And if you get tired of me, just unsubscribe, although I hope you stick with me.
You can just click on the button below to sign up and then you’ll receive the download.

Rob-
Hey appreciate the blog. I had a similar issue as Joe but unfortunately it wasn’t in the Junk Mail, think you could send the book via email? Appreciate it greatly and look forward to reading it and passing it along via twitter and facebook!
Absolutely… can you email me at rob.h.rash (at) gmail.com…
Hey Rob – I enjoyed reading the book and all the suggestions were great and useful, especially about making the song your own, serving your team, being prepared with chord/lyric sheets etc.
Two things that I might add, (which we in our church often fail to do!) are (a) the usefulnes of rehearsing with the audiovisual team, and (b) ensuring the rehearsal time is also a prayer/worship time in itself. The folks on the display software/sounddesk then have an idea how the songs are going to proceed, and we can pray with them – as we are all part of the one team.
God bless you and your worship ministry
James
Thanks Rob for this resource. It’s so important to recieve information like this. So often we are left all to ourselves to figure stuff out that we’ll never actually figure out.
